The shop is in the middle of a Hampshire village, about 5 miles from the nearest main town. It is situated in the ideal location, opposite the local primary school, church and bus stop. It is the only shop in the village.

The village currently has around 880 houses with 3300 people. There are local infill building projects, one of which is developing a further 40 homes. There is a recreation ground which has football and cricket pitches, tennis courts, skateboard park and children's playground.
